Bulacan road project inaugurated

MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos has urged the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to ensure the timely completion of all key projects following the inauguration yesterday of an arterial bypass road project in Bulacan.

The 22.4-kilometer Phase III contract package 4 project is expected to cut travel time between Balagtas and San Rafael towns from one hour to 24 minutes.

“This project is an important step toward the realization of our dream of a better Philippines that is filled with hope, brimming with optimism and teeming with boundless opportunities,” Marcos said in a speech read by Special Assistant to the President Antonio Lagdameo Jr.

Marcos said there are currently 197 infrastructure flagship projects in various stages of development.

He said that infrastructure development, particularly in transportation, is crucial in sustaining economic progress as it hastens the movement of people, goods and services as well as enhances the efficiency of logistics and transport systems.
