Carabao kills farmer

MANILA, Philippines — A farmer died after he was gored by his carabao in Sitio Burol, Barangay Tinamnan in Lucban, Quezon on Monday.

Simplicio de las Alas’ bloodied body was discovered by his brother beside the carabao, Maj. Marnie Abellanida, Lucban police chief, said.

The carabao’s horn reportedly had bloodstains.

Police said investigation showed that there was no foul play in De las Alas’ death.

The municipal health office confirmed that the victim died from injuries after he was attacked by the water buffalo.
