Civil Engineering bags PBL Season 4 crown | The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — The Civil Engineering team swept the Nursing squad in their best-of-three finals with a 63-57 victory in Game 2 to emerge as champion of the Professionals Basketball League (PBL) Season 4 at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym recently.

Daffyd Tallido paced Civil Engineering with 15 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals to earn the Finals MVP honors.

Nestor Candidato added 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals for Civil Engineering, which grabbed the crown with a perfect 9-0 record.

For their consistent performance, Tallido and Candidato made it to the Mythical Five together with their teammate Miguel de la Torre, Jerome Soque (Criminologist), and season MVP Winston Perez (Nursing).

Perez finished with a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds for Nursing, which dethroned two-time defending champion Criminologist only to be crushed by Civil Engineering in the finals.
