Cloudy in Visayas, hot in Metro Manila

The southwest monsoon and the two low pressure areas (LPAs) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) will continue to bring occasional rain showers, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.

While the LPA in the western part of the country is moving away, its extension may bring cloudy skies, particularly in eastern Visayas and Masbate, Pagasa said.

On the other hand, the southwest monsoon will affect the western part of Southern Luzon and Visayas.

«That's why we may still expect cloudy skies, with chances of isolated rain showers, particularly in Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) Cavite, Batangas, Zambales and Bataan,» Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina said.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Mindanao will have hot weather especially by noon, also with chances of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
