DAR, DENR-LMS Collaborate on Efficient Survey by Administration to Boost Project SPLIT Implementation

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), spearheaded by Regional Director Ramon Madroñal Jr., recently led a coordination meeting with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Land Management Services (DENR-LMS) held in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The meeting focused on streamlining land survey procedures to expedite the implementation of the Survey by Administration under Project Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT).

The DAR officials in the activity included Assistant Regional Director Agnes Maata, Provincial Chiefs Rolando Libetario, Jr. of Zamboanga Sibugay, and Rizzel Villanueva of Zamboanga del Norte. The DENR-LMS team was led by the Chief of Surveys and Mapping Division Engr. Ramon Azcarraga Jr.

The presentation of Memorandum No. 35 series of 2024 regarding the conduct of the Survey by Administration for Project SPLIT was made along with concerns from both DAR and DENR-LMS on the Inspection, Verification, and Approval of Survey (IVAS) reports. During the meeting, they also discussed strategies for carrying out the land survey efficiently and addressing any emerging issues that may arise.

The meeting concluded with Engr. Carlos Alcazar, the DENR-LRA/ROD Survey Coordinator, outlining agreed-upon action plans for moving forward. CARPO Felicidad Cadungog expressed her gratitude to all participants for their contributions.

This collaboration between DAR and DENR-LMS is to ensure the successful implementation of Project SPLIT and the overall advancement of agrarian reform initiatives in the region.
