DAR Iloilo Joins Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair 2023

The Department of Agrarian Reform Provincial Office (DARPO) - Iloilo participated in the two-day Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) 2023 at Guimbal National High School in Guimbal, Iloilo, held on December 9-10, 2023.

During the event, DARPO-Iloilo distributed a total of 208 titles to 171 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) covering a total land area of 219.7675 hectares.

Additionally, DAR-Iloilo, in collaboration with the Iloilo Provincial Government, allocated Php 1,066,250.00 worth of farm machinery and equipment (FME) through the Sustainable and Resilient Agrarian Reform Community (SuRe ARC) Project to 5 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) comprising 167 farmers in the province.

The distributed FMEs included 5 units of hand tractors with trailers valued at Php 566,250.00 and another 5 units of rice threshers valued at Php 500,000.00, respectively.

Moreover, DAR extended agrarian legal assistance by providing free legal advice on agrarian reform matters.

Congresswoman Janet L. Garin, representative of the First Congressional District in the Province of Iloilo, emphasized that the BPSF is the country’s largest service caravan, aligning with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s vision of making government services more accessible to the people.

According to Martin G. Romualdez, Speaker of the House of Representatives, “The aim of the Marcos administration is to bring government services closer to the Filipino people, and the service caravan will reach all 82 provinces in the country.”

Since its launch on September 23, 2023, Iloilo became the ninth province among the 82 provinces in the country, and the first in Western Visayas, to host the BPSF. The event featured the participation of around 50 agencies, providing and delivering over 180 services and programs.
