DAR joins grand opening of S&R Calasiao

Calasiao, Pangasinan - S&R Membership Shopping, a warehouse club that retails premium quality imported products and services in the Philippines, held its grand opening in Calasiao, Pangasinan on October 5, 2023.

The opening of S&R Membership Shopping in Calasiao is a significant development for the municipality and nearby cities and municipalities as the store is expected to bring income and employment to the area.

S&R Calasiao, the first branch of the company in Pangasinan, has complied with the Land Use Conversion (LUC) implemented by the DAR, ensuring that the land used for the store was legally converted from agricultural to commercial use.

The event was attended by Mr. Anthony Sy, President - S&R; Secretary Conrado Estrella III - Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR); Undersecretary Jesry Palmares - Foreign Assisted and Special Projects Office (FASPO); Mr. Darren Bates, SVP for Operations; Mr. Lucio Kho, Chairman - Cosco Capital; Mayor Kevin Roy Macanlalay - Calasiao, Pangasinan; Regional Director and concurrent PARPO II Maria Ana Francisco; PARPO II Charlotte Lasmarias; and PCAO Donna Estrada.
