'Deadpool 3' teaser welcomes Wade Wilson to MCU

MANILA, Philippines — A teaser video for the much-anticipated third "Deadpool" movie finally dropped, with the Merc with a Mouth making his grand entrance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The trailer was released during Super Bowl LVIII, giving the film the title "Deadpool and Wolverine" as it features the return of Hugh Jackman as the latter mutant after supposedly "retiring" the character in 2017's "Logan."

It begins with Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson celebrating his birthday surrounded by his colleagues, but after blowing his candles, agents from the Time Variance Authority (TVA) show up at the door.

"Is that supposed to be scary? Pegging isn't new for me, friendo, but it is for Disney," Wade says with a glance at the camera after agents take out their time sticks.

The TVA agents arrest Wade, likely because of his exploits during the end of the previous film where he "corrected" parts of history, who wakes up in front of Matthew Macfadyen's Paradox and they go for a tour around the TVA.

Paradox invited Wade to be a "hero among heroes" as he shows clips of the Avengers — Wade even salutes Captain America — and seemingly agrees to the opportunity.

"I smell what you're stepping in, sensei. Your little cinematic universe is about to change forever," Wade quipped before putting his own spin on Tony Stark's famous quote. "I'm the Messiah. I... am... Marvel Jesus."

Wade suits up as Deadpool, and in one scene on a desert appears to be fighting near the ruins of the 20th Century Fox logo, the studio that used to house "Deadpool," "X-Men," "Fantastic Four," "Daredevil," and "Elektra."

After some quick fight scenes, Aaron Stanford appears reprising his role as Pyro, having last portrayed the character in 2006's "X-Men: The Last Stand."

The trailer ends with Deadpool barrelling into the 20th Century Fox logo, and a fade into an unseen figure standing over Wade.

"Don't just stand there, you ape. Give me a hand up," Wade taunts, but the individual reveals the claws on his hands. "Nope, I'm actually okay, thank you very much!"

Apart from Wolverine and Pyro, mutants eyed to return from past films are Sabretooth and Toad. Jennifer Garner will also reprise Elektra Natchios
