DILG, MMDA deep in preparations for 'Bagong Pilipnas' launch

MANILA, Philippines: The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benjamin «Benhur» Abalos Jr. issued a memorandum «strongly» urging all village and Sangguniang Kabataan officials in the National Capital Region (NCR), Regions III (Central Luzon) and IV-A (Calabarzon), as well as DILG regional, provincial and city officers in these areas to participate in the launching of the «Bagong Pilipinas» campaign on Sunday at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.

In Memorandum Circular 2024-010 issued on January 19 but only made public on Friday, Abalos also encouraged each local government unit (LGU) to monitor the expected number of participants and to accomplish the actual attendance sheet before the arrival at the venue
