Drunk MMDA enforcer to face multiple charges after hitting two bus passengers

Metro Manila (CNN Philippine, December 31) — A drunk MMDA enforcer who drove a motorcycle on the southbound lane of the EDSA busway will be facing multiple charges after he hit two passengers who were coming down from a bus.

A video posted by the Department of Transportation (DOTr)-Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation on Sunday showed authorities asking the enforcer to move his motorcycle to the side of the busway, but he was intoxicated and could not control his movements.

The bus driver and conductor asked a member of the Philippine Coast Guard for help, the agency added.

[Translation: Aside from refusing to surrender his license, the man got angry and asked his fellow authorities to help him instead, since they were all traffic enforcers.]

The authorities said that they are still trying to know the identity of the MMDA enforcer.
