Fair weather Friday in PH — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines: The entire country can expect generally fair weather within the next 24 hours as the northeast monsoon locally known as «amihan» weakens, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Friday.
Pagasa's weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said that they have not monitored any tropical cyclone or low-pressure area (LPA) inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at least until the weekend.
«It's good news because there will be clear skies all over the country except for isolated downpours and thunderstorms in the afternoon or at night,» the Pagasa forecaster said.

Although its effects have dropped slightly, amihan is still affecting Batanes and Babuyan Islands where partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains may prevail, it said.
The state-run weather agency said the easterlies and localized thunderstorms are bringing partly cloudy to overcast skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
