Fair weather in PH, except for localized thunderstorms — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country, including Metro Manila, will be experiencing generally fair weather except for isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms, the state-run weather agency said on Wednesday.
Weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the low pressure area off Bataan has dissipated.
But the weather system is still affecting Zambales, La Union, Pangasinan, Tarlac and Bataan, according to the Pagasa forecaster.
Meanwhile, the tropical depression outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, estimated some 2, 605 kilometers east-northeast of extreme Northern Luzon, remains unlikely to directly affect the archipelago.
He said the northeasterly surface windflow — the wind coming from the north-east that brings mild temperatures — is affecting Batanes and Babuyan Islands, also in extreme Northern Luzon, where partly cloudy to overcast skies would prevail.
