Fair weather over the weekend in PH — Pagasa
THE Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Friday that the country can expect a generally-fair weather condition over the weekend.
«So far based on Pagasa's monitoring track, we have not monitored a low pressure area or any tropical cyclone inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in the coming days,» weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.
PHOTO FROM DOST PAGASABy Monday, however, most parts of the country will likely have cloudy skies and light rains due to the shear line and northeasterly surface wind flow, the Pagasa forecaster said.
Over the next 24 hours, the state-run weather agency said the northeasterly surface wind flow – the wind coming from the northeast that brings mild temperatures – is affecting Northern Luzon particularly Batanes, Isabela, Cagayan and Apayao.
The same weather system is bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley, Pagasa said in its 5 a.m. advisory.
Meanwhile, the shear line – where the cold and hot air converge – along with the localized thunderstorms is affecting Metro Manila and the rest of the country where partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated downpour and thunderstorms will prevail, it added.
