Human remains found in Quezon cliff

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A foul smell led to the discovery of two decomposing bodies on a cliff in Sitio Tigkay in Barangay Magsaysay in Infanta, Quezon on Monday.

“We suspect the two cadavers could be a woman and a man because of the structure of their bodies. However, we are still awaiting the results of the examination by a forensic unit,” Maj. Florendo Credo, Infanta police chief, said.

Police said the bodies of the victims could have been dumped in the area to mislead investigators.

Credo said probers are looking for witnesses and footage of closed-circuit television cameras to establish leads in the case.

“We are coordinating with other police stations and barangay officials about the discovery of the decomposing bodies,” he said.
