LPA trough to bring rains over parts of PH
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 9) — The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over parts of Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas and Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Monday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) also said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
As of 3 a.m., the LPA was last seen 1,415 kilometers (kms) east of Eastern Visayas.
PAGASA is also monitoring two tropical cyclones outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
These are Typhoon Koinu, known as Typhoon Jenny when it was inside PAR, and Severe Tropical Storm Bolaven, which was last spotted 2,830 kms east of Eastern Visayas.
