2 weather systems to bring rains over Luzon
(UPDATE) TWO weather systems could bring occasional rains over Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Saturday.
The state weather bureau added that the shear line of the northeast monsoon — the point where hot and cold winds converge — could bring scattered rains and cloudy skies over Central Luzon.
Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said Cagayan, Apayao, Batanes, Isabela, Kalinga, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), Central Luzon, and Metro Manila could expect cloudy skies, isolated rain showers and thunderstorm for the rest of the day.
Meanwhile, fair weather is expected for the rest of Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao, with chances of isolated and sudden rains.
