Marcos reaffirms support for PH Navy
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday reiterated his administration's continued support for the capacity-building of the Philippine Navy (PN), as well as other branches of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Marcos cited the «critical role of the Navy in maintaining national security and underscored the need for continuous improvement of defense capabilities to address evolving security challenges,» Malacañang said.
The President led the PN's 2nd Quarter Command Conference at its headquarters in Manila.
During the meeting, the PN led by Vice Adm. Toribio Adaci Jr. outlined its plans, while emphasizing the importance of modernization and capability enhancement as vital components of a total archipelagic defense in fulfillment of the Navy's crucial role in securing the state and enhancing maritime cooperation toward regional peace and stability.
