Marcos to Australia: Continue 'active engagement' in Indo-Pacific region
MANILA, Philippines: President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday urged Australia to continue its «active engagement» to ensure peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
In his intervention during the leaders' plenary session of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean)-Australia Special Summit in Melbourne, Marcos acknowledged Australia's consistent support to all Asean-led mechanisms, which is evident in the 50 years of its dialogue partnership with the region.
