Navotas integrated health system underway
NAVOTAS City would implement an integrated city-wide health system, Mayor John Rey Tiangco said on Wednesday.
He added that the local government has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Department of Health (DoH) and PhilHealth concerning the initiative, which is a component of the Universal Health Care (UHC) law.
«Through the MoU, we can secure additional technical and financial support from the national government for the UHC program. This agreement ensures equitable access to quality and affordable health care for Navoteños,» Tiangco said, noting that a UHC integration site in Navotas would mean faster and more efficient delivery of health services to residents.
