P1.7 million drugs seized in Cebu City

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 253 grams of shabu worth P1.7 million were seized in two drug sting operations in Cebu on Saturday.

In reports to the Police Regional Office 7, the Mandaue City Police Station 4 said it recovered at least 150 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu with a street value of P1.02 million in Barangay Casuntingan.

The Cebu City Police Station 6 also reported having arrested two drug suspects who were in possession of P702,848 worth of shabu weighing about 103 grams. They also recovered the marked money and a pouch used as container for the illegal drugs.

Charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the suspects.
