P15M allocated for pre-restoration work on Manila Post Office -- DoT
MANILA, Philippines: Department of Tourism (DoT) Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco reaffirmed her support for the restoration of the country's historic sites, including the Manila Post Office.
The DoT, through its attached agency, Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), allocated P15 million for Detailed Architectural and Engineering Studies (DAES) for the purpose of conservation evaluation and pre-restoration work of the Manila Central Post Office building (MCPO), which was destroyed by fire on May 22, 2023.
