Palace: No plan to declare October 31 as holiday

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has no plan yet to declare Oct. 31 a holiday, according to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).

“As per (Office of the Executive Secretary), there’s no plan,” PCO Secretary Cheloy Garafil told Palace reporters yesterday.

Oct. 31 is preceded by the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.

President Marcos declared Oct. 30 as a non-working day to allow Filipinos to participate in the elections.

All Saints’ Day on Nov. 1 is a special non-working day.
