‘Peace in the midst of chaos’: How Kyline Alcantara handles bashers, mental health

MANILA, Philippines — Before Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque, Kyline Alcantara was among those who suffered heavy bashing and fanfare from a recent breakup and love team falling out, alongside the split between Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.

But now, Kyline is ready to face the world again. She slayed the recent Marc Jacobs store reopening in Greenbelt 5, Makati City with renewed verve and confidence.

“Nand’un ako sa phase in my life na it doesn’t matter what they say because I know myself, I know what my truth is. It doesn’t matter because I can’t dictate what they say or think about me. I’m just different from what they say,” the GMA star told Philstar.com in an exclusive interview.

The actress did not feel like she had to explain or defend herself further in light of the breakup that happened.

“So nagkaro’n ako ng peace in the midst of chaos with the kind of thinking na, ‘Kung ano lang ang gusto mong sabihin sa’kin, whatever makes you sleep at night, go for it. Believe what you just want to believe.”

What kept her sane amid all the controversies was going to the beach every week.

“It really keeps me calm and I know that God will vindicate me.”
