Quiboloy co-accused constantly roaming before arrest – PNP

MANILA, Philippines — Paulene Canada, a co-accused of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy, was roaming from one place to another before policemen arrested her at her residence in Davao City, the Philippine National Police said yesterday.

Col. Jean Fajardo, the PNP’s chief publicist, said police tracker teams have been monitoring Canada’s movements leading to her arrest last Thursday. 

“There are times that she leaves and goes to places,” Fajardo said in Filipino over radio dwPM.  

Canada is among Quiboloy’s co-accused in the cases he is facing. The other respondents are Cresente Canada, Ingrid Canada, Jackielyn Roy and Sylvia Cemanes.

Quiboloy, the self-proclaimed “Son of God,” is accused of being a human trafficker and sex offender.

Fajardo said a man, who she did not identify, called a police hotline and revealed Canada’s whereabouts. Acting on the tip, policemen conducted a surveillance operation.

After they were able to confirm it was Canada, police officers swooped down on her residence and arrested her.

Fajardo said the bounty put up on Quiboloy and his co-accused was a factor in Canada’s arrest, highlighting its effectiveness in tracing the co-accused.

With the information they have been receiving, government officials are confident Quiboloy, who has a P10-million bounty on his head, will soon be caught.
