Scholz 'satisfied' with new PH drug war approach, says Marcos
BERLIN: President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday said German Chancellor Olaf Scholz was satisfied with how the present government handles the drug war in the Philippines.
«I said we have actually completely changed the concept of the anti-drug campaign, which is something I have said before, even before the election, in my view, the enforcement can only take you so far, and we have taken it as far as we can, and the opinion of some, taken it beyond,» the President said during an interview with Filipino journalists here.
«So what we need to look at is the prevention and rehabilitation, which is, I think a different approach— a much different approach. He listened to my explanation and I think he was satisfied,» he added.
