Senate, House head for splitsville over People's Initiative to amend charter
MANILA, Philippines: The Senate and the House of Representatives are headed for splitsville over the People's Initiative campaign to amend the 1987 Constitution as lawmakers from both Houses have taken opposing views.
The Senate on Tuesday issued a manifesto opposing the People's Initiative because it violated a previous agreement by the two Houses to push for the adoption of the Resolution of Both Houses (RBH) 6 that would amend only the economic provisions of the Charter.
