CEBU, Philippines — The University of the Philippines (UP)-Cebu Fighting Maroons, Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Wildcats, and Felipe R. Verallo Foundation College (FRVFC) Blue Dragons hope to barge into the win column in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) Season 23 Men’s Basketball Tournament today at the Cebu Coliseum.

UP-Cebu will tackle the Southwestern University (SWU)-Phinma Cobras in the main match at 5 p.m., right after the Wildcats and the Blue Dragons face off against each other at 3:30 p.m.

The Fighting Maroons hope to snap their four-game jinx, while the Cobras target their second victory in four starts.

On the other hand, the Wildcats and the Blue Dragons are still listless in three games.

In the juniors division, the Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Blue Dragons will try to notch another back-to-back wins as they go up against the Baby Wildcats at 2 p.m.

CEC is currently fourth in the standings with a 3-1 record while the Baby Wildcats hold an even 1-1 slate.

In the 12:30 p.m. opener, the Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC) Greywolves and the University of San Carlos (USC) Baby Warriors will figure in a duel of winless squads. Both floundered in their first four assignments. — (FREEMAN)
