Willie Ong forgives bashers, asks for prayers

MANILA, Philippines — Celebrity doctor Willie Ong revealed that he is done with the first round of chemotherapy for his Sarcoma Cancer.

In his Facebook account, Ong said that he addressed his statement on bashing to his young readers who are facing mental health problems due to "unfounded criticisms" in social media.

“Regarding my Sarcoma diagnosis, my gut feeling is that it came from unnecessary bashing from Troll Farms and others. I have no risk factors for cancer," he said.

“Hence, my ‘bashing’ explanation is NOT really for me but for all the young generation of Filipinos who have mental health problems from unfounded criticisms thrown at them in social media. I really love the younger generation no matter who you are and who you choose. TRULY, I love you AS YOU ARE. God loves you,” he added.

Ong said that he has already forgiven those people who bashed him during the 2022 vice presidential campaign.

“I forgive you if you bashed me in the past. For the children and young adults, Stay Strong. Fight with me. Forgive your perceived enemies. Keep LIVING. Keep LOVING. That is all I ask of you,” he said.

He also had a message to the youth.

“P.S. Sa mga kabataan, mahal na mahal na mahal ko kayo. I prayed so long so that I can reach you. This Sarcoma may be a blessing in disguise because I can now reach you. If that is so, then I gladly accept the deal. Thank you God," he said.

“P.P.S. Second chemo cycle today. Lost 98% of my hair. Repeat PET scan in three weeks to see if have progress. Good or bad news. Only God knows. I love you all,” he added.
