CHEd defends move ending SHS in SUCs

COMMISSION on Higher Education (CHEd) Chairman J. Prospero de Vera 3rd said on Monday that its latest memorandum related to the discontinuance of senior high school (SHS) in state universities and colleges (SUCs) was neither abrupt nor arbitrary.

In a memorandum dated Dec. 18, 2023, he directed the heads of state universities and colleges to bring the discontinuance of SHS in SUCs to their board of regents (BoR) or board of trustees (BoT).
