DAR Caraga officials convene for 2-day Q2 Management Committee and ISO-QMS Core Group Meeting

As presided over by Regional Director Atty. Merlita S. Capinpuyan, she along with her top officials of DAR Regional Office Caraga assembled for a 2-day Management Committee (ManCom) meeting on May 2-3, 2024 at Palmera Coastline Resort, Lianga, Surigao del Sur.

In her opening statement, ManCom Chairperson, RD Capinpuyan, stressed that her only goal for each quarterly meeting is to monitor and better evaluate the next steps of DAR Caraga for a more systematized delivery of targets, especially more so that the regional office is striving for ISO-certification later this year.

She continued on with the strategies that must be undertaken, “for the budget that we are given, we must properly align it with our physical accomplishment because we are given this trust by the people and we must not forget that this is for our agrarian beneficiaries.”

Included as one of the main agenda for this meeting, the first day was all about the accomplishment status of all three (3) major programs of DAR which are: Land Tenure Security Program (LTSP), Agrarian Justice Delivery Program (AJDP), and Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development and Sustainability Program (ARBDSP).

Under Assistant Regional Director for Operations, Agnes L. Dela Cerna’s coverage, the Land Tenure Improvement Division (LTID) as reported by Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer (CARPO) Josephine L. Yordan displayed promising Q2 mid-quarter accomplishment results in the key areas of research and documentation and Certificate of Land Ownership Awards (CLOA) registration.

As the significant half of the AJDP, Regional Agrarian Reform Adjudicator (RARAD) Atty. Glenn L. Auza proudly shared the commendations received by the Regional DAR Adjudication Board (DARAB) for its zero-case backlog for three (3) years. RARAD Auza also showed recent updates of the RARAD’s jurisdiction as mandated by the Central DARAB.
