DARRO 02 conducts mental health program cum employees’ day

TUGUEGARAO CITY – In order to promote the mental health of its officials and employees, the Department of Agrarian Reform Regional Office 02 (DARRO 02) conducted a Gender Sensitive Team Building Activity cum Employees’ Day on October 18-21, 2023 at EM Royalle, Tabac, San Juan, La Union.

Cagayan Valley Regional Director Primo C. Lara said that the activity is accordance with the Mental Health Awareness Month celebrated every October. The delivery of quality customer service to our clients and stakeholders depends on the physical and mental well-being of our employees, he added.

Meanwhile, Regional Chief Administrative Officer Estrelita V. Go enthused that “As we enjoy the lined-up activities prepared for us, let us all cooperate and participate actively, maximize the learnings and enjoy.

Mark Anthony Latoja, Ph.D, Program Head, School of Advance Studies of University of St. Louis- La Union served as resource speaker/facilitator for the activity. He encouraged everyone to be “childlike” in order to enjoy and learn together while having fun.

RD Lara enthused his appreciation to all employees who demonstrated unity, interpersonal relationship, collaboration, team work, planning, and team spirit in the conduct of the activity.

The DARRO 02 management is aware and acknowledges that its human resource and well-being is a key factor in the organization's overall welfare. One strategy to assure excellent health and staff productivity is to incorporate wellness activities like sports, recreation, and relaxation in the workplace.

The said activity was actively participated by all DARR02 Officials and employees.
