DOLE warns program partners against abuses, kickbacks

THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) yesterday warned its Accredited Co-Partners (ACPs) implementing its programs against committing abuses and getting kickbacks at the expense of the beneficiaries.

In a Notice to the Public, DOLE said they are warning the ACPs helping them implement their programs against charging the beneficiaries.

“DOLE maintains a zero-tolerance policy against any ACPs or individuals who abuse or exploit the Department’s programs for personal gain,” said DOLE.

“This includes any form of facilitation fees and kickbacks, misrepresentation, or any other activities that harm the interests of beneficiaries,” it added.

The Department said any ACP or individual found to be in violation of the Department’s guidelines will have its accreditation immediately revoked or be watch-listed.

“Such entities or individuals will not be considered eligible to participate in or have access to our programs,” DOLE stressed.

The agency said all DOLE programs and services involving the release of funds to beneficiaries through ACPs are free of charge and are not subject to any fees.

“These programs are created to support and uplift the lives of our fellow citizens, who are in need. There should be no financial burden on any individual or group wishing to avail themselves of these services,” said DOLE.

The agency encouraged the general public to report any abuse, misuse, or violations related to DOLE programs.
