Go calls for vigilance amid severe flooding

SEN. Bong Go on Tuesday called for vigilance in the wake of destructive Tropical Storm Enteng, especially residents in flood-hit areas.

«Let's not be complacent. Let's avoid wading through contaminated floodwaters because it causes danger, especially leptospirosis,» Go said in Filipino.

Citing the «significant» damage left by «Enteng,» the senator urged the public to stay alert, saying that his primary concern is the safety and well-being of those in the storm's path, particularly residents of Metro Manila, nearby provinces, including Camarines Sur in the Bicol Region and parts of the Visayas.
