Peso closes stronger at P55.37:$1

THE Philippine currency ended the year stronger against the greenback on Friday.

The currency closed at P55.37 against the dollar, up by 11 centavos from P55.48 previously, data from the Bankers Association of the Philippines (BAP) showed.
