Tsina binomba uli ng tubig bangkang Pinoy na pa-Ayungin; gobyerno nagprotesta | Pilipino Star Ngayon

MANILA, Philippines — Binomba uli ng tubig ng Chinese coast guard ang ilang sasakyang pandagat ng Pilipinas sa loob ng West Philippine Sea, bagay na magdadala sana ng supplies sa mga tropang Pinoy sa Ayungin Shoal.

Ibinalita ng National Task Force-West Philippine Sea ang naturang ulat ngayong Biyernes sa isang Facebook post ng National Security Council of the Philippines.

"At 0730H, today, 10 November 2023, China Coast Guard (CCG) and Chinese Maritime Militia (CMM) vessels recklessly harassed, blocked, and executed dangerous maneauvers in another attempt to illegally impede or obscruct a routine resupply and rotation mission to BRP Sierra MADRE (LS 57) at Ayungin Shoal," sabi ng task force.

"CCG vessel 5203 deployed a water cannon against Philippine supply vessel M/L Kalayaan in an illegal though unsuccessful attempt to force the latter to alter course."

Ang Ayungin (Second Thomas) Shoal, na siyang kine-claim ng Beijing atbp. bansa sa Asya, ay matatagpuan sa loob ng 200 nautical mile exclusive economic zone (EEZ) ng Pilipinas.

Bukod pa rito, sinasabing nilapitan at isinailalim din sa "reckless and dangerous" harassment ng CCG rigid-hulled inflatable boats ang supply boats na Unaiah Mae 1 (UM1) at M/L Kalayaan sa loob ng Ayungin Shoal lagoon habang papalapit ang mga nabanggit sa BRP Sierra Madre.

Gayunpaman, parehong nakaabot ang mga naturang bangka sa LS 57.

"The Philippine Embassy in Beijing has demarched the Chinese foreign ministry and protested these actions," patuloy ng NTF-WPS kanina.

"The Department of Foreign Affairs has also reached out to them and conveyed our protest directly through the Maritime Communications Mechanism. We firmly insist that Chinese vessels responsibile for these illegal activities leave the vicinity of Ayungin Shoal immediately."

Aniya, muling nailagay ng aktibidad ng Beijing ang buhay nang maraming tao sa peligro. Dinagdagan din daw nito ang duda ng Maynila sa sinseridad ng Tsina na pumasok sa mapayapang dayalogo tungkol sa isyu.
