Marcos team sinubukan ipatigil ang panayam sa usapang 'ill-gotten wealth' — Australian journo | Pilipino Star Ngayon

MANILA, Philippines — Sinubukan daw ng kampo ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na ipatigil ang isinagawang interview ng ABC News Australia matapos matanong sa "nakaw na yaman" ng kanilang pamilya, ayon sa nagsagawa ng panayam.

Sa isang TikTok video na inilabas nitong Martes (oras sa Pilipinas), ikwinento ng Australian journalist na si Sarah Ferguson kung paano kumilos ang mga "minders" ni Bongbong habang napag-uusapan na ang katiwalian.

"What is not visible, except for a few, literally like a few little shadows on the screen, is that from the moment that I mentioned his father, the minders, first of all, start to move," paliwanag ni Ferguson.

"They start to talk amongst themselves. Then they start talking to the producer, trying to get her to shut the interview down."

Tumutukoy ang salitang "minder" sa isang bodyguard na nagproprotekta sa isang sikat o importanteng tao.

Ilang linggo pa lang ang nakalilipas nang tawaging "propaganda" ni Bongbong ang pagnanakaw ng diktador at dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Sr. sa kaban ng bayan. Nakuha pang tumawa ng presidente nang matanong tungkol dito, bagay na sinita ni Ferguson.

Ito'y kahit ilang beses na itong kinilala ng Korte Suprema noong 2003, 2012 at 2017. Tinatayang nasa $5 bilyon hanggang $10 bilyon ang ill-gotten wealth na ibinulsa ni Marcos, na kilala sa human rights violations matapos ideklara ang Martial Law.

Kahit si Marcos Jr. na ang pangulo, nariyan pa rin ang Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) para mabawi ang mga nakaw na yaman.

Bagama't ibinasura noong 2019 ng Sandiganbayan ang P200 bilyong civil forfeiture case laban sa pamilya Marcos, kinilala ni Sandiganbayan Associate Justice Alex Quiroz ang "attrocities" na nangyari noong Martial Law, na siyang nagdulot aniya ng "'plunder'... on the country’s resources."

"And then as the questions go on, they [minders] start moving closer towards Marcos and I," dagdag pa ni Ferguson.

"They are standing just behind his chair, and I want to push on to ask him what his responsibility is, what his relationship is to what his father did and his acceptance of that, and what it means for him as the president."
