Pulpogan, Consolacion Headers rule Alegado Cup sepak takraw tourney | The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — Team Pulpogan and the Consolacion Headers dominated their respective divisions in sepak takraw event of the 12th Alegado Cup sports festival in Consolacion, Cebu.

Pulpogan edged Poblacion Occidental to grab the men’s crown. Tayud claimed the third-place trophy after beating Jugan.

In the women’s category, the Consolacion Headers reigned supreme after prevailing over Calero Liloan. Cebu City downed Mandaue to settle for third.

The competition was under the supervision of the Consolacion Headers Sepak Takraw Club, Inc. headed by their president Wendell S. Acabal. International referee Marlon S. Gicain served as tournament director, with national referee Arnold A. Niedo and international referee Herbert Tabasa as managers.

The officiating officials were Richa Mae Y. Niedo, Marry Ann Q. Sanchez, Mitodio Suico Jr., Regie Sanchez, Ryan Indino, Jamesle Pitogo, Marlou Semblante, Jarwen Bataluna, and Jeramel Trillo.
